Abrasives are generally made of silicon carbide or alumina, sometimes with boron carbide or diamond powder. The abrasive grain size ranges from 20 to 600. The coarse abrasive is used for deburring and the fine abrasive is used for polishing. The abrasive content is 10 to 60%, depending on the specific processing conditions. The fixture allows the grinding media to pass through the machined surface in a defined path, and also functions to mount and fix the workpiece. Therefore, the fixture structure should be designed and manufactured according to the shape, size and processing requirements of the workpiece. Multi-task fixtures can be used for small workpieces, and many tasks can be installed at the same time for processing.
