The reporter learned from the China Iron and Steel Association on the 10th that the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI), jointly developed by the China Iron and Steel Association and the China Minmetals Chemicals Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and the China Metallurgical Mining Enterprise Association, was officially released to the public on the 10th. The China Iron Ore Price Index for the first week of October 2011 was released, which is the first time the index has been released to the public. It is understood that the "China Iron Ore Price Index " consists of two sub-indices: "Domestic Iron Ore Price Index" and "Imported Iron Ore Price Index", all based on the April 1994 price (100 points). Previously, the index has been trial-operated in the industry since August. During the trial operation phase, the data acquisition system is operating normally, the index is compiled in time, and the data verification is in line with the market trend. Since October 2011, the index has been released weekly, and at the end of the month, it will analyze and release the trend of China's iron ore price index last month. According to published data, in the first week of October , the import iron ore price index was 652.41 points, a decrease of 0.13 points, a decrease of 0.02%, and the average landed price of imported iron ore was $176.22. / ton, down by 0.03 US dollars per ton, the price of RMB including tax is 1310.21 yuan / ton, down 0.26 yuan per ton. Due to the National Day holiday, there is no large-scale transaction of domestic iron ore. The price index of domestic iron ore in the last week of September is 455.81 points, the average price is 1172.87 yuan / ton. The price index of CIOPI China iron ore in the last week of September is 580.73 points. The relevant person in charge of the China Iron and Steel Association said that the Chinese iron ore price index has taken a new step in raising the price information service level of the industry associations, which is conducive to promoting effective competition of resource enterprises and helping to guide the healthy development of the steel industry.
