Mineral nutrients needed by pigs

It has been proved that there are about 40 kinds of essential mineral elements in pigs. According to their content in pigs, they are divided into two categories: macro elements and trace elements. Elements with a content above 50 mg/kg are constant elements. The content of the fraction is indicated; the element below 50 mg/kg is the trace element expressed in mg/kg.

Pigs need at least 14 inorganic elements, including the major elements calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), sodium (Na), chlorine (Cl), potassium (K) sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg) and trace element iron (Fe). ), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), iodine (I), selenium (Se), and cobalt (Co). In addition, other elements such as arsenic (As), bromine (Br), chromium (Cr), boron (B), cadmium (Cd), fluorine (F), lead (Pb), lithium (Li), molybdenum (Mo), Nickel (Ni), silicon (Si, tin (Sn), and vanadium (V) may also be necessary for pigs.

Pigs' non-mineral feed ingredients generally contain various mineral elements, but most of the raw materials can not meet the nutritional needs of pigs, and various plant materials are affected by the water, soil, climatic conditions and industrial pollution. As well as the impact of variety, production season and harvest period, it shows obvious regional differences. In production, minerals and trace elements should be reasonably replenished according to local conditions.
