What is the poor efficacy of pesticides in the field?

At present, crop pests and diseases are still mainly based on spraying pesticides. However, in production practice, it is often encountered that the application of qualified pesticides is not satisfactory. The reason is that there are 7 points below:

Reason one: the medicine is not right

The first is to treat the disease as a worm, treat the worm as a disease, and use the medicine wrong. For example, the dead seedling caused by the tomato bacterial wilt disease is misdiagnosed as dead seedlings caused by underground pest bites, so that no more medication will be effective.

Second, although the diagnosis is correct, the medication is not symptomatic. For example, the use of Jinggangmycin to control rice blast, the use of dicofol to control three wheat aphids, and the use of insecticidal double control rice planthoppers, etc., naturally have no effect.

Reason 2: Mistakes

Pest control, the best effect is applied at the peak of adult spawning or before the larvae hatch to 3 years old. If the larva is above 3 years old, there will be more application and the effect will not be good.

Reason three: the dose is not allowed

If the dosage is too large, it is easy to cause phytotoxicity, and the dosage is too small to achieve the purpose of controlling pests and diseases. Therefore, it must be formulated in accordance with the pesticide application instructions to obtain a satisfactory control effect.

Reason four: improper use

If mixed with dilute or neutral pesticides such as dimethoate, phoxim, enemy killer and alkaline pesticides such as stone sulphur mixture, it will cause decomposition of pesticides; alkaline pesticide sulphur mixture mixed with Bordeaux mixture will produce Excessive soluble copper, causing phytotoxicity.

Reason five: blind spraying

The spray should be sprayed on the vital part to receive the desired effect. For example, in the prevention and control of sunflower sclerotium disease, it should be based on the law of wintering of sclerotia in the soil, before the sclerotia germination in the field, the effect is good. If the medicine is sprayed on the affected part, the effect is not good. Rice blast and bacterial blight mainly cause damage on the leaves. When spraying, it is necessary to spray on the foliage; to control cotton red spiders, it is necessary to spray the medicine on the back of the leaves to receive good control effects.

Reason six: bad weather

The efficacy is closely related to meteorological factors such as temperature, humidity, rain, dew, wind and light. If the emulsion pesticide is applied, there will be no rain for at least the next 24 hours after spraying, and the effect will be good. The application of stomach poisons and contact pesticides requires at least two days of rainless scouring to achieve better efficacy. Therefore, according to the local weather forecast, the weather should be sprayed.

Reason seven: poor quality of medical equipment

The good and bad effect of the drug is also related to the spraying tool used. The good quality spray tool not only saves medicine and labor, but also improves the efficacy.

Portable Generators are useful when temporary or remote electric power is needed, but they can be hazardous. The primary hazards to avoid when using them are carbon monoxide poisoning, electric shock or electrocution, and fire.

We would like you to know that there are simple steps you can take to prevent the loss of life and property resulting from improper use of Portable Generators

To Avoid Carbon Monoxide Hazards:

    1. Always use generators outdoors, away from doors, windows and vents.
    2. NEVER use generators in homes, garages, basements, crawl spaces, or other enclosed or partially enclosed areas, even with ventilation.
    3. Follow manufacturer's instructions.
    4. Install battery-operated or plug-in (with battery backup) carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home, following manufacturer's instructions.

    5. Test CO alarms often and replace batteries when needed.

       Portable Generators

To Avoid Electrical Hazards:

    1. Keep the generator dry. Operate on a dry surface under an open, canopy- like structure.
    2. Dry your hands before touching the generator.
    3. Plug appliances directly into generator or use a heavy-duty outdoor- rated extension cord. Make sure the entire extension cord is free of cuts or tears and the plug has all 3 prongs, especially a grounding pin.
    4. NEVER plug the generator into a wall outlet. This practice, known as backfeeding, can cause an electrocution risk to utility workers and others served by the same utility transformer.
    5. If necessary to connect generator to house wiring to power appliances, have a qualified electrician install appropriate equipment. Or, your utility company may be able to install an appropriate transfer switch.

To Avoid Fire Hazards:
    1. Before refueling the generator, turn it off and let it cool. Fuel spilled on hot engine parts could ignite.
    2. Always store fuel outside of living areas in properly labeled, non-glass containers.
    3. Store fuel away from any fuel-burning appliance.
