Cold air strikes have little impact on agriculture overall

Beginning on the 27th, a cold air began to affect the northern part of China, and some areas in the north experienced significant rainfall and cooling. As the cold air advances eastward, the cooling range is further expanded. Affected by strong cold air, some parts of northern China have obvious rainfall and cooling weather. Some areas in Inner Mongolia and Northeast China have cooled by 10 to 20 °C. In Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, the first snowfall since autumn this year has also appeared. The monitoring showed that during the day on the 28th, there was a significant cooling in Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, North China, Huanghuai and other places. Among them, eastern Qinghai, northern Ningxia, most of Inner Mongolia, most of Shanxi, northern Hebei, western Jilin, southwestern Heilongjiang, central and western Shandong, northern Henan, northern Jiangsu, western Hubei, Chongqing, northern Guizhou, etc. Compared with the general occurrence of 4-8 °C, the temperature drop was generally 10-16 °C in parts of Inner Mongolia, southwestern Heilongjiang, and western Jilin, and the local area was above 18 °C.

On the 28th, Hulunbeier in the northeastern part of Inner Mongolia ushered in the first heavy snowfall after the fall. The Daxinganling forest area was down to heavy snow, and the Hulunbeier grassland was reduced to medium snow. Snowfall was nearly a month earlier than in previous years, and the temperature broke through 0°C for the first time, and the minimum temperature plummeted to minus 15°C.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from 29th to October 2nd, due to the influence of strong cold air, the temperature in most parts of central and eastern China will drop by 4~8°C. Among them, the local temperature in eastern and northeastern Inner Mongolia can reach about 10°C. There are 4 to 6 northerly winds in most of Inner Mongolia, northern North China, and Northeast China. Initial frosts will occur in parts of central and northern Liaoning and northern North China.
