Explosion-proof tools are made of what material?

Bronze

Beryllium bronze is based on yttrium as the basic alloying element of the steel base alloy, and its cerium content is 1-2.5%. At the same time contains trace amounts of cobalt, magnesium, iron and other trace elements.

When the beryllium bronze is subjected to high-speed impact or high-speed friction, its mechanical energy is converted into heat energy when it is applied to the surface of the object, and the surface temperature suddenly rises. However, due to the high conductivity of the material and the heat-conducting strings, the heat of the working surface is rapidly transferred to other parts of the workpiece, and the heat of the working surface is drastically reduced. Some particles that break away from the workpiece under impact or friction do not reach the temperature of the ignition source.

The compounds between the beryllium bronze metals are relatively stable and have a high melting point and are not susceptible to severe oxidation. During high-speed impact or friction, the temperature of the surface being acted on or some of the detached particles increases, but they cannot react violently with oxygen and other flammable gases and do not form an ignition source. This material is widely used in the manufacture of important components and explosion-proof tools for certain special occasions.

Aluminum bronze

There are two kinds of commonly used aluminum bronze: First, when the content of Al is less than 9.4%, the metal phase is a dendritic single-phase α solid solution (solid solution of Al in Cu), and the second is when the content of Al is 1.8-9.4%. It is: α+β1+a small amount of α+γ2.

Its thermal conductivity is very good, and most of the heat generated when rubbing with other objects is absorbed by the tool and dissipated. The grinding of the particles has a low calorific value and does not cause the explosion of the mixture of air and combustible substances.

J892 copper alloy

J892 copper alloy explosion-proof tools are suitable for use in all kinds of explosive gas applications. In general production, the hardness of J892 copper alloy material after treatment is even higher than that of beryllium bronze material, which is closer to the hardness of steel tool products.

At present, the toughness of J892 copper alloy can not reach the level of steel tools, so the use of J892 copper alloy explosion-proof tools can not be used in a super-load, but can not be applied to the wrench to extend the arm or hit the handle with a hammer operation. J892 copper alloy explosion-proof tools cannot be mixed with corrosive materials such as acid and alkali to prevent corrosion.

Round magnets, also named disc magnets, are thin flat circular magnets where the thickness does not exceed the diameter.
They are the most commonly used magnet shape and the most versatile.
They are used in holding applications where a hole is drilled and the magnet is recessed into the hole.
They are commonly used with cup assemblies to increase their holding strength.

Neodymium disc magnets are incredibly versatile and have superb strength for their size. They`re used in many commercial applications including modular retail displays and point of sale stands for holding panels to a steel framework and many new packaging designs use them cleverly trapped behind layers of cardboard to provide invisible closing mechanisms.

Round magnets have a diameter greater than thickness, and are available in sizes approx 3mm up to approx 100mm diameter. Pull strengths begin at around 250g and can reach up to 262kg!
