China's polyethylene production capacity will reach 1.3 million tons in 2017

[ Jiuzhi Plastics News] It is reported that in 2017, China will add a new wave of polyethylene production capacity. According to market intelligence provided by the agency, in 2016, China's PE production will reach 14.25 million tons, including 460,000 tons of new capacity.
Specifically, the low-density polyethylene produced by Yulin Shenhua Energy in December 2015 is estimated at 220,000 tons; the Xinjiang Mythology Energy Project started in October this year has a capacity of 40,000 tons of low-density polyethylene this year; The ChinaCoal Mengda project launched in April produced 15,000 tons of linear low-density polyethylene. The Zhongtian Hechuang project started in October produced a total of 50,000 tons of LLDPE. The annual production capacity of these four new projects is 300,000 tons.
In 2017, new projects will continue to increase PE capacity, which is expected to reach 1.3 million tons. These include Jiutai Energy (annual production capacity of 25,000 tons), Zhongtian Hechuang (37,000 tons), China National Offshore Oil Corporation Huizhou Second Division (700,000 tons), and Ningxia mythology (430,000 tons). Among them, most of the new production capacity comes from coal chemical projects.
